What is this?
It is one idea, one long attempt to get it off the ground, and a microphone in front of people who have already done it. Every episode we interview somebody who has built, priced, shipped or sold a thing of their own, then go and test what they told us. We are not gurus — we are two people with day jobs and a spice company to get off the ground.
The idea
One idea, and we are not trading it in for a new one every week. It is a spice company: the thing we keep coming back to. The whole show is the long climb from here to one thousand.
The experiment
Whatever the interviews turn up, we go and try it on the spice company: suppliers, labels, shipping, pricing, the uncomfortable phone calls. Nothing gets edited out to look smarter later.
The receipts
We bring the real numbers — what we spent, what we sold, what it cost us in sanity. If it fails, the spreadsheet still gets published.

One is a start. One thousand is a business. Everything in between is just trips around the block.

The first episodes are recorded — long conversations with people who have already done the thing we are trying to do — but none of them are edited yet: no cut, no music, no show notes. When the first one is ready it will be published here, and the waitlist hears about it first.
